There are so many cherished teaching moments over my career. I absolutely love my job and being in the classroom teaching students. My most recent keepsake is an email I received from one of my Year 12 students.
Hi miss,
As I only saw you briefly before the graduation, I didn't get to properly speak to you and I will not be attending the formal – so I just wanted to thank you for the past two years of being my art teacher. You have always been extremely kind and have helped me improve so much in such a short amount of time. I don't think I would have even come close to finishing my major work without your help, so I truly appreciate you and I hope you have a wonderful night.
It’s nice to be reminded of the difference you are making in a student’s life, and in their learning, and when you hear that feedback directly from a student it just gives me the warm and fuzzies. This is why I do what I do.
