A student I taught had a challenging behaviour with the need to fidget during class. To support the student as well as the class, I implemented a whole class fidget box, where we took turns at using the fidgets. I created a reward system in my class, and a challenge for the students to make a new friend each week.

By the end of my tenure, this same student had a group of friends and was thriving and engaged in all areas of school.

On my last day she gifted me a mug that said, "It’s good to have a friend”.

A quote "I created a reward system in my class."
White coffee mug with a colourful image of Snoopy and Woodstock with the caption 'It's good to have a friend' with a rainbow, sunshine and flowers.
