In coincidently my final week teaching Year 3, I evidently struggled to hold back my own tears as I read the above chapter, unsure if my students sitting in front of me were crying because they finally heard about my confirmed departure in an overnight email home to families, or the fact that Charlotte had just passed…or both? It was certainly, however, a profound moment and realisation of the power of teaching and the culmination of positive impacts I had made that year. Synchronicities are indeed special.
